Western Ontario Waterways Regional Council
Next Tuesday (February 16) several health unit districts in the regional council return to the green-to-red categories of Ontario’s Covid-19 framework. Communities of faith are reminded to check for restrictions and advice from their health unit as they discuss re-opening. An indoor religious service will be able to accommodate up to 30% of the sanctuary’s capacity within these zones. Restrictions are more limiting in gray zones or regions still under the Stay-at-Home order.
Thank you to congregational leaders and ministry personnel who have been diligent in researching their local context,
thoughtful in making re-opening decisions and adaptable in dealing with ever changing situations
and new ways of being together whether virtually or in person.
As we approach the one year anniversary, it is difficult knowing this uncertain and ever-changing reality will continue.
That is why this Lent, instead of giving up something, my goal is to grab on to something
— to start and end each day with
Galatians 5:22-23:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;
against such there is no law.
